Thank You

Thank you all so much for sharing this special time with us.  You all have set such great examples for Emily and I which is why we are so grateful to have you here with us as we start our lives together.

We know many have travelled across the country and across the planet to be here -- we are humbled and thankful.  These relationships that we share are the most important valuable things that we have.  With love and respect Emily and I thank you.

So what’s in this brown bag by Josh Cornett

This is a bunch of stuff that we love...stuff we like to drink, eat, share, eat after we drink...

Solo - Norwegian drink that Emily loves -- she says it reminds her of spending summers in Norway with her Family.  It’s also hard to find and expensive here in the states so you better enjoy it!

Maui Onion Chips -- we get these chips for lunch at of our favorite french bakery Cest si Bon in
Newport Beach -- two bags of these chips are consumed before we even touch our sandwiches. Standard.

Watermelon candy -- if I act like a jerk, this is the only candy that might help cheer Emily up...must have a few of these on hand at all times.

Booze -- nuff said -- drink up if you are into that sort of thing.

Headache remedy -- if you drink the booze i suggest taking a few of these at night before you go to bed along with a large glass of water...if you wait till the morning it’s already too late.

Ring Pop -- here’s the thing about the ring pop...guys don’t try this, been there, done that, not as funny as it seems, because you will never live it down.

Emily and I had been talking about getting engaged for a few months and on Christmas morning I had saved one last final gift for Emily.

A small square box wrapped with a big red bow sat under the christmas tree.   Emily with great excitement ripped open the gift only to find a bright red cherry Ring Pop staring at her right in the face.

She looks at me, I look at her, she looks at the ring pop....I immediately regretted doing this....for the next several days I was reminded how cruel of a joke it was and how getting engaged to be married was not something to joke about.

Until new years day 2012 when I totally redeemed myself by giving her the real thing -- a beautiful engagement ring that now sits on her finger forever.
